This residential space is designed for a couple who are retired as well as Buddhists. The design respects the original residence layout almost in its entirety and uses the texture of natural materials such as stone and wood in an earth tone color scheme. Recessed wall lamps and natural light represent the luminous mind. The round lamp illustrates the Buddhist perspective on human fulfillment. There are no redundant design elements, reflecting the spirit of Buddhism, which is to create a consistent lifestyle by simplification. Peace of mind leads to inner fulfillment.
