Fusion is a magnifier for the visually impaired which combines a 7” LCD and zoom camera in an integrated portable product. The camera can be removed for reading or writing and can also be used while docked in the rolling base to read maps or papers. The display folds to protect the camera and the “laptop & mouse” style provides a simple intuitive form while allowing a compact packaging solution. Fusion offers advanced functionality in a portable unit and has been influenced by personal electronic products rather than other medical devices. It allows greater freedom and a more positive user experience for the visually impaired.
