Garanti Bank BBVA
Office building
The project is a campus for the technology company of Garanti BBVA Bank, located in Istanbul, Turkey. The neighborhood is a post-industrial area that is currently gentrifying. This particular site was formerly home to an old factory that has been dismantled and mostly recycled. This Leed Gold certificated building is an attempt to set a benchmark in Istanbul, a serene workplace for the company's 4,000 users. The design approach is holistic and multidisciplinary and an antidote to the chaotic urban context. The project draws from the principles of openness and transparency and an extensive use of landscape to function as a place that promotes social interaction.
