Energy / Industrial / Sustainability
Korea Polytechnic University
GeoWind GW1200 is a geodesic vertical-axis wind turbine that turns geometry into energy. Inspired by the icosahedron, it achieves self-balancing rotation and high torque even at low wind speeds, providing a quiet, stable source of renewable power. Its modular, lightweight structure is portable and easy to assemble, accessible for both urban and remote users. As a CES 2026 Innovation Award honoree in Sustainability & Energy Transition and protected by patent PCT/KR2023/019844, GeoWind unites efficiency and beauty as an “energy sculpture” symbolizing sustainable, human-centered design.
