Gesture Interaction

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

Interface design is evolving to ensure that all users can enjoy the very best screen-use experience. To improve the experience for users that are deaf or hard of hearing, we gained valuable insights into the features that they use most and the interactions they find most convenient. As these users are familiar with sign language and subtitles, we believe that Gesture Interaction based on hand-shape recognition enhances the TV viewing experience. This enables users to operate their most-used features, such as sign language broadcast zoom and subtitles, more easily and conveniently
