Gil.ó Chair
Chair
Cremme
The Gil.ó Chair, created by Pierre Colnet and Hadrien Lelong at Cremme with architect Ale Salles, transcends function to honor Black culture and African ancestry. Inspired by the orixás’ symbolism, it embodies circularity and diversity in its forms and materials. Crafted from sustainable Brazilian woods with traditional joinery, it celebrates craftsmanship and durability while honoring cultural heritage. The chair’s design and aesthetic harmony offer a symbolic experience, making it a piece rich in memory and identity.
