A Park for the Metropolis by Sony
Ginza Sony Park project is the reconstruction of the former Sony Building, pursuing both 'evolution' and 'revolution. Located in Ginza, one of the most expensive districts in Japan, it challenges conventional urban logic by prioritizing public openness over economic efficiency. “Garden of Ginza,” a small public space from the former Sony Building, has evolved into a much larger “Park,” creating a low-rise public space over a commercial tower and inheriting key features like junction architecture and the vertical promenade. This transcends a corporate hub, becoming a platform that weaves new rhythm and diverse experiences into the city.
