Giruno

High-speed Train

The EC250 Giruno was developed specifically for the north-south routes of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). The exterior design continues the Swiss railway design tradition while fulfilling the strictest functional and aerodynamic requirements. The rectangular interior design combines architectonic principles with a very high comfort level for everybody. Low-level entries throughout, a wheelchair accessible area almost 40 meters long including to the restaurant car, separate toilets for men and women, and miscellaneous special compartments cater to all possible user groups, making it a truly universal design.
