Gitzo Mountaineer Tripod was the world’s first carbon fiber tripod in 1994. This latest evolution continues Gitzo Mountaineer Tripod’s classic sense of style and “noir décor” powder coated finish, but has been redesigned and features revolutionary technology and ergonomics. The new “Carbon eXact” tubes are even stiffer to maximize rigidity and image stability. The new leg locking system “G-lock Ultra” offers softer operation while reducing dust entering the system, and the Ground Level Set mechanism allows the user to remove the center column to get the camera even closer to the ground.
