Mp3 dock (Cradle)

The “GLOCKE” is a bell-shaped cradle equipped that works according to the echo principle of a traditional Korean Buddhist bell. It amplifies and spreads sound far and wide, something that’s called resonance. The vibration tank is a recessed area underneath the bell. The sound gets longer or shorter according to the size of the bell and the vibration tank. If you put an MP3 player into the cradle to play music, the bell acts as a speaker and amplifies the quiet sound through the cylinder to provide for listening pleasure for everyone. In addition, GLOCKE’s LED lamp gets brighter or darker depending on the volume level; it visualizes the sound.

JURY STATEMENT

Design for living - selected by Charles O. Job Amplification is not only achieved by the simplest of means. The design resonates with an understanding of a natural phenomenon coupled with a touch of the technical. Sound is visualised into light!
