The former Olympic Village in Elstal, Berlin is a place of history and remembrance. Under the name G.O.L.D. Gartenstadt Olympisches Dorf von 1936® not only living space is being created but also a museum exhibition tour with over 60 stations. Display boards and indirectly lit showcases with historical finds bring the history of the area to life. Restrained typography on the new houses and the modern implementation of former labels, such as apartment numbers, direction signs and floor indicators ensure clear orientation. A more than 40 meter long lettering on the facade of the listed Dining House quotes Jesse Owens, Olympic champion from 1936.
