The SLGC001 features the Tentagraph, the world's first and longest-running 10-beat mechanical chronograph with a 3-day power reserve. Since 1960, Grand Seiko has consistently pursued essential watch qualities: accuracy, legibility, durability, and aesthetics, pushing the boundaries of watchmaking. Further innovation required precise sub-second measurements, robust components for increased complexity, and clear visibility for multiple functions. The 9SA5 10-beat movement developed in 2020 laid a foundation for the SLGC001. The movement and exterior were designed for easy maintenance, cost and time efficiency, and enduring generational use.
