Green Plant Protection Ecological Beehive
Zero Pollution Solutions for Plant Pest Control
The project was designed to serve the needs for pest control in the tea sector in Zhejiang Province, China. Tea is China’s national drink and consumers want the most cleanly produced leaves. This means that producers must avoid the use of chemical pesticides and explore other ways to protect their precious plants. This design concept uses bees (parasitic bees) to control pests in an eco-friendly way, effectively reducing the use of chemical pesticides and supporting the goal of Zero Pollution. Protecting the habitat of biological species in tea fields also enhances crop safety.
This concept represents a very interesting approach to ecological pest control through the redesign of a familiar object. The proposed solution is functional and has a very appealing aesthetic.
