Kinetic installation

Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH

Clearly visible from outside, the grasp pendulum also provides a thematic introduction to the exhibition on human motor functions in the “Medical Technology Science Center”. The 8 m high installation visualizes the quality and complexity of grasping. It consists of three pendulum arms. Each arm carries twelve inward and outward monitors. The screens show virtual hands interacting with each other from one screen to another. The dramaturgy of their movements is based on the three different ways in which humans grasp various objects. After each auto-active cycle visitors can interact with the installation via an interface.
