Border crosser Lecture series by Sebastian Oschatz The borderline between privacy and public is essential for graphic design - as it may be for the difference between designer and user, artist and recipient, actor and spectator or between personal and outsider ideas. Theme of the series is the question how the borderline is traversing under the influence of digital techniques and which is the impact on design. The term of design has large margins for this lecture series: at which position assess practitioners nowadays? What is the role of techniques for design? Which are the untouched fields of design? How has education to adapt to this situation? The referees are from different branches: a huge field that spans from art, science, industry, entrepreneurship, mission to hobby.
