Galloping through the world of table manners: 28 mnemonics to remember. Our client Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten offers etiquette courses for children. Especially for those kids we developed a book called “Galloping through the world of table manners”. In this book, the most important rules are told in funny rhymes that are easy to remember. In German, those little mnemonics are called “Eselsbrücken” – literally translated: donkey bridges. Because in Germany, as well as elsewhere, donkeys are believed to be stupid. Therefore we see a donkey on the cover, the book is bound in “donkey skin”, and every book contains a donkey tail which can be used as bookmark.
