Habitat

Alternative living spaces

Habitat proposes alternative households for young people who are starting their working lives amid steep housing prices in Madrid. The project is an integrated solution that supports comfort, mobility, growth, and community living. The co-living community includes private bedrooms alongside shared spaces such as a kitchen, living room, co-working spaces, a gym, and a laundry room. The smaller units located in central Madrid fulfill the same functions in a smaller space and are meant for individual use for limited periods of time. Both the small modules and the shared households are booked through an app.

JURY STATEMENT

This proposal for community living offers a more sustainable approach to urban environments by using sustainable construction materials, recycling gray water, and integrating community gardens and green spaces. This project promotes a collective and more responsible use of urban space.
