Vacuum Cleaner

HANDY VA is a robotic vacuum cleaner with a detachable hand-held vacuum component. It operates like a normal robotic vacuum cleaner, but when spot cleaning is necessary (for example, on a sofa), a button can be pushed to release the 'handy' element. Its curved shape is easy and safe to grip, making it comfortable to use.

JURY STATEMENT

This concept is interesting because it provides an original solution to automated products - the normal solution is total automation, with robots taking over complete tasks. The reality is that some tasks are better suited for humans and this project makes this observation well logically splitting the roles where necessary.

WINNER STATEMENT

Winning the iF STUDENT DESIGN AWARD is a huge encouragement for me! I feel happy and hope to be successful again next year.
