The four animal illustrations are the panda, the crested ibis, the golden monkey and the antelope. In China, they are known as the Four Treasures of the Qinling Mountains. The set of illustrations are the packaging designs for a mineral water product. The images imply that mineral water is as scarce as the four animals, but they also are an effort to call public attention to the issue of environmental protection. Pieces of the landscape form parts of the animals. At first sight, consumers identify the animal, but then also find the more subtle depictions of nature. The core design idea advocates a harmonious environment where humans and animals can live together.
