Exhibition Design

This exhibition presents the private collection of Finland’s first Ambassador to China, Cay Sundström, as a bridge between Sino-Finnish cultures. Drawing from Finland’s natural landscapes, the design unfolds in three immersive realms — The Friendship Forest, The Ambassador’s Mansion, and The Friendship Lake. Through sustainable wood and translucent DuPont paper structures, the design weaves Nordic serenity with Eastern subtlety. Visitors are led into a sensory narrative that interlaces art, history, and diplomacy, celebrating the enduring friendship between two nations across time and space.
