Hayama Huts

villa

A villa nestled in historic resort Hayama. Key features of the design include the thoughtful placement and height of each volume to ensure privacy and harmony with neighboring properties, as well as the use of a pergola with galvanized steel louvers to connect these volumes. This pergola serves both as a buffer for the environment and as shading for skylights. Our design pays homage to local heritage while preserving scenic vistas, and the inclusion of camphor trees offers shade and a connection to nature. The project is a modern interpretation of local heritage, balancing functionality and aesthetic within its resort community context.
