HAZE

Exhibition space

C&C Design Co., Ltd.

An interactive art installation from C&C DESIGN CO., Ltd., HAZE uses gradient laminated glass as a elevation to give the audience the feeling of nothingness. Similar to the air in cities of China, HAZE makes it difficult for people to see each other. People indulge in the state and ignore the everyday around themselves, interpersonal relationships become increasingly alienated, and people enjoy living in a fantasy world, mistaking it with the real world. Although science and technology have brought convenience, they also cause people some kind of loneliness and a feeling of being lost. The designers hope to arouse people’s reflection of this state.

iF Gold Statement

The project manages to move away from the ‘purely’ commercial to submerge the user within an alluring labyrinth of transparencies and translucencies. The user is hence drawn into a more challenging condition than that of a mere observer. The jury praised its capacity to generate an abstract condition and blur the line between exhibition and passersby.
