This high-definition video camera incorporates the worlds first shake-correction function, which corrects rotational hand shaking while recording moving pictures. To achieve first-class performance in such a compact form, the size of the components around the lens was reduced and packaging efficiency was improved. The lens barrel and the top of the liquid crystal panel merge seamlessly across a concaved surface, accenting the side and doubling as a finger grip when opening the panel. On the upper surface, the basic camera operations and finger grip are arranged in a linear fashion, ensuring a stable sense of grip and reliable operation.
