Digital high-definition video camera recorder

SONY Corporation

The HDR-HC1 is a digital high-definition video camera recorder for home users. Seeking to substantially miniaturize the conventional high-vision camera for professional use, the designer pursued design that delivers ease of use, based on slim and simple lines. A natural grip has been created by using simple lines flowing diagonally toward the electric viewfinder (EVF) from the large diameter lens. A stereo mike and strobe are precisely tucked away in the lens cylinder. Because the product uses a touch-panel-type LCD monitor, the user can easily make settings and do video operations simply by touching the LCD screen. Frequently used functions like the Expanded Focus button, the Brightness Adjustment lever, and the Manual Focus ring are assigned as individual buttons on the body, while the more specialized switches are located in a functional manner.
