HENGQIN Seafood World

Architectural concept

The design for the Hengqin Seafood World complex was inspired by the splendid ocean scenery and the infinite and boundless waters where fish can swim and leap freely. The exterior architecture has the abstract shape of a leaping fish. The buildings are made of steel, while the facade is forged to replicate the surface of an oyster shell, as Hengqin is famous for its oysters. In addition, the main building has the shape of two mega fish swimming together. The smaller buildings scattered around are meant to look like a shoal of fish.
