Hilti DX-9
Powder-actuated nail gun
Hilti CorporationThe DX 9 is a powder-actuated fastening tool used for fixing metal decking to steel beams. The ergonomics and a self-explanatory form were central to the design development. While the upright working position reduces strain on the operator’s back, the handle minimizes stress on wrists, elbows, and shoulders caused by recoil. Direct fastening is five times faster than traditional jointing methods, such as welding, and it also avoids toxic fumes. A simple display integrated into the handle shows the operator in real time when the tool needs maintenance, helping to prevent unplanned downtime.
