The SBS Grande series is a flagship refrigerator model, targeting mainly the South East Asian market. Through market research, Hitachi discovered that, especially in Vietnam, “three-dimensional design” is highly appreciated, as it conveys a sense of luxury. To augment this, Hitachi created a “Polygon” pattern as the exterior design, which gives this appliance the appearance of a culinary objet d'arte. Hitachi also found that Southeast Asians place a great premium on the freshness of food, and so they included a vacuum compartment that retains nutrients and moisture by removing oxygen.
