The company’s name "Hoban" means a wide, flat, gigantic stone in Korean. The introduction picks up on this theme with three types of artistic photographs of stones to present the company’s history and philosophy. Images communicate the past as a tough land, the present as solid as a rock, and a future as a stone artistically shaped. The linear typography was inspired by traditional oriental bookbinding. In addition, the exterior of the company’s new building, which was built with a lenticular method, was mounted on the cover with an embossing technology that uses precision-cut 3D metal frames.
