The Hokkaido Forestry College opened in April 2020. Here, students gain specialized knowledge and skills related to forestry in Hokkaido. Forty students spend two years studying a wide range of forestry-related studies and acquiring practical skills. The school was designed to train human resources to lead forest succession in Hokkaido and across Japan by encouraging them to work hard and engage in discussions toward realizing a society where forests and people involved in forest succession can live together in harmony.
