Homechoice Alu Set top box

Set top box

Homechoice’s new set top box is as much a brand statement for a new player in the multi-channel market as it is a functional electronic device. Homechoice delivers 80+ on-demand and digital TV channels as well as instant access to movies and music videos plus up to 8 MB of broadband access for the PC. Equipped with a remote control unit, this small STB is designed to deliver Homechoice’s unique functionality, with an integrated DSL modem, software decoder and 2 SCART plus 2 Ethernet ports. It can be placed vertically or horizontally. Made entirely of metal, the black panels are coated in soft touch paint, whilst the fascia consists of 3 mm brushed aluminium. A key design element is the central display, which uniquely integrates the IR and status LEDs into a single unit that is photosensitive and thus stays bright in daylight and dim as the light reduces.
