The ancestral home, primarily occupied by an elderly couple, must also accommodate over ten people when children and grandchildren return. Prioritizing the living for the elderly, the gathering for their children and the fun for the grandchildren, the design reorients the living room, opening up the kitchen and dining area, establishing a dynamic flow around the dining table, and dismantling and restructuring the staircase. This brings out a flexible space that can adapt to varying usages for different numbers of people, transforming the old home into a nurturing nest that revives family bonds.
