The design studio Form Us With Love came up with the idea for Hood when they moved to a new studio. Hood is an ideal solution for these open plan environments, functioning both as a light source and a sound barrier, helping to create a more intimate space in the contemporary office landscape. Its modular structure means that Hood can grow according to need, made up of three different types of modules in molded polyester felt. Hood is equipped with LED light source and dimming is possible. Comes in five different standard colors; red, black, sand, light grey and dark grey and it holds a unique spot in the market place.
Touched by Nordic Design - selected by Dorrit Bøilerehauge The Form Us With Love design studio combines the tactile with both size and sound in their design of a pendant light. The felt material creates a contrast to hard or shiny surfaces, and the sound barrier capability creates room for contemplation rather than noise. The multi-functional Hood can also be adjusted to the size of the space, and this functional feature reflects how the design is developed to the level of becoming co-designed by users. As opposed to mono-functional and rather static design, Hood creates a pleasant experience in addition to being a source of light.
