HOSOO Flagship Store

Multi-purpose building

HOSOO Co., Ltd. was founded in 1688. Serving as its new headquarters, this building includes HOSOO’s flagship store and a gallery with the architectural emphasis on conveying the dyeing and weaving culture and kimono culture. The original building was built in 1965 and is located in a historical district of Kyoto. Construction is mainly comprised of rammed earth walls, black ink plaster walls, which surround and enclose a salon area.
