The hotel was renovated and transformed from a Prairie Style residence designed by a disciple of Frank Lloyd Wright into a residential hotel. Conventional historical renovation projects are limited to restoring and preserving the original design. Here, the designers came up with new ideas that reflect the spirit of the original. The design is functional and uses the Prairie Style language (open terrace fireplace, playroom), and the atrium bathroom is a mix of Frank Lloyd Wright and contemporary Japanese design.
