Cultural Exhibition

Shinsegae

House of Shinsegae Heritage’s exhibition and tea-dessert salon reinterpret Korean cultural heritage as a living room experience. Located within a restored former bank building in Myeong-dong, Seoul, the Heritage exhibition connects past and present under the theme of weaving heritage. Introducing historical artifacts alongside traditional and contemporary craft in the layout of a courtyard hanok home with garden-side seating, the project becomes an experience to dwell in. Materials, craftsmanship, and lifestyle converge to express Shinsegae's enduring spirit of hospitality in a contemporary language.
