Hsinchu City Library ''Knowledge Canyon''

The designers wished to reflect Hsinchu's beginnings as a walled bamboo grove and came up with the idea of creating a "Knowledge Canyon", an urban green belt. The green belt is a canyon-like space sandwiched between two main walls of bookshelves, or "Knowledge." The Knowledge Canyon is a unique library and a living space within Hsinchu city where people can gather regardless of their background and interests.
