To achieve sustainable housing in Japan, we propose a new prefabricated house designed to nurture "special attachment". The average lifespan of Japanese housing is 30 years and we now recognise a problem of large environmental impact when it is dismantled. "HUE", our new prefab housing, proposes a new ideal way of living towards 2030 when the super-aging society trend will create many more problems: it conveys innovations to add high emotional inspiration and social value to the existing characteristics of prefab housing such as high quality and long life span, so leading residents to develop a sense of special attachment to their home.
