HUEPIN
Button to identify Clothing Color
This concept involves helping people with visual impairment to identify their clothing colors. HUEPIN is a set of buttons that represents various colors and allows users to identify colors by touch. The outer shape of button represents colors and the corresponding color's brightness is presented by the number of grooves. These buttons can be sewn onto shirt sleeve, pockets, hats or anywhere that's convenient for the user. The color-shape system was inspired by Bauhaus. By overlaying each primary (color) shapes, secondary colors are formed.
"The simplicity of this solution is striking. The different shapes and textures help visually impaired users quickly and easily identify different colored clothing. As well as being practical, the buttons are subtly fashionable."
