Forestry Drone

Modern forestry is not all about making a profit, but also safeguards biodiversity, endangered species, and keeps our forests healthy for future generations. The planning stage is a crucial part of forest management that sets the conditions for harvesting, ground preparation, and regeneration. We developed Humla to assist forest planners in completing menial tasks, like marking borders and protected areas. Humla extends the planners reach to simplify and streamline their workflow, giving them more time to use their key expertise to lay the foundation for responsible forest management. Keeping our forests healthy for generations to come.

JURY STATEMENT

Exploring, observing, and analysing needs for unpopular fields is a key part of design. Here we see a useful and well designed tool for forest planners. The concept as well as the presentation show a high level of quality.

WINNER STATEMENT

We are honoured for the recognition of our forestry drone concept, Humla. We would like to thank the Cluster of Forest Technology, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and Norra Skogsägarna who supported us throughout the project and provided valuable insight.
