Lighting equipment

“In Praise of Shadows” written by Jun’ichiro Tanizaki in the early 20th century mentions a Japanese esthetic sensibility to the right light in the right place, which means that Japanese people have been appreciating the beauty of shadows. LED, as a new light source, now allows us to design lighting apparatus more creatively. Using LED, huug attempts to reconsider the balance of light and shadow and create a new light based on Japanese traditional esthetics. huug 001, its first part of the series, proposes two types of gossamer basic lighting equipments making the most of the advantage of LED: “sky” and “air”.
