I love Chinese Characters

The concept for this series of posters comes from the two Chinese characters xue and xi (when combined, they mean learning). We took a traditional Chinese game a wooden brain teaser puzzle with twelve blocks and put it into the shape of these two characters to adroitly combine the concepts of learning and playing. They also refer to traditions and activities that promote mental development. The two simple characters and the wooden texture impart a sense of purity and simplicity, allowing a complete focus on the learning experience. This series of posters appears calm on the surface but is full of meaning within.
