The IBM BladeCenter S is designed to help smaller firms simplify the management of technology. It can reduce the number of previous servers used by up to 80 percent. It reduces energy use with high efficiency power supplies and a wide choice of low-voltage processor options. The design is easy to use, in a space-saving 7U chassis that incorporates hot-swap blade server, disk drive, management, switch, power supply and blower modules. "Light path" diagnostics (LEDs located on the front and rear of the system) provide a quick and easy guide to troubleshoot the server components, providing greater availability.
