The IBM eServer xSeries 336 is a 1U rack server that offers performance for demanding Web and collaborative applications. The xSeries 336 sports a robust design, in which the front perforated sheet-metal bezel is created from the bottom of the system. The hexagonal vents have less air impedance, creating better airflow characteristics, compared with a plastic bezel. Some of the key design elements are the four sculptured 2.5 hard disk handles, with blue-accented triggers, that use a simple, one-handed cam action. A front-accessible, drop-down control panel provides system status.
