DASD Disk Storage Enclosure

The 7031-T24 is a 24-bay (12 front and 12 rear) SCSI DASD expandable storage tower, capable of providing more than 7Tb of storage in a 4U compact unit. The bezel design addresses usability and reliability issues by incorporating hot-swap DASD, redundant hot-swap blowers and status LEDs for the system and components. A dedicated slot for the service adapter provides easily accessed system information. A handle feature is located on the top surface for convenient relocation. The system is available in three physical configurations: a tower for desk-side applications, a 19” rack drawer for mounting in industry-standard equipment racks, and a 24” rack drawer for mounting in IBM high-end equipment racks. All three physical configurations use an identical base system that is then configured as one of the three possible versions.
