The new IBM SurePoint™ touch display is a retail-hardened point of sale interface. This unit is designed to accept peripherals such as card readers, keypads, key locks, speakers and microphones. This configurable approach offers benefits by allowing retailers to customize the terminal to their unique needs. For example, the combination of a reliable infrared touch screen and a configurable keypad can increase input rates by improving ergonomics. The design’s small footprint and increased adjustability allow the terminal to fit into any unique retail environment.
