The IBM System Storage DS4700 T is a disc-based, EIA 3U rack-mount storage server supporting 16 hard drives and a 4 Gbps interface. It is designed to provide low total cost of ownership, high performance, robust functionality, and unparalleled ease of use. Its design allows for expandability from work-group to enterprise level applications and provides controls to support up to 112 disk drive modules. In addition, the DS4700 T meets rigorous NEBS standards for electromagnetic compatibility, thermal robustness, earthquake and office vibration resistance, and provides protection for the product components from airborne contaminants.
