Golf Clubhouse

The project brief was to replace an aging clubhouse on a site that had been developed by leveling a hilltop. The design of the large roof, which traces the former ridgeline, is intended to blend in with the site while at the same time creating an original and memorable new landscape. The interior space is spanned by steel-timber hybrid beams, a structure that supports the gently-curving roof. Together with the wooden ceiling panels it envelops visitors, providing a "clubhouse experience in harmony with nature" that integrates indoor/outdoor spaces, making it easy for all types of visitors to feel at home and enjoy their golfing experience.
