Controller device

indico is a controller device for smart-home and AAL systems that looks like a “magic wand” and allows fast, intuitive interaction with the system devices. The user only has to point at the desired device in order to select it. An innovative touch interface with haptic feedback allows the user to choose different settings. In addition to the controller, the user has a charging station, where the device can be placed to easily activate different scenes. Participative design methods were used to develop indico and special attention was paid to the needs of the elderly to enable them to interact easily with the system devices.
