Information system for railway stations and trains

Railway passengers at Austria's railway stations and on its trains will soon be treated to a new system of visual information. The system provides both classic, static information as well as dynamic, electronic information. Owing to the fact that the passengers speak a variety of different languages, we developed an extremely comprehensive system of visual signs with over 100 types of content. Due to the fact that railway station buildings have been constructed over many different periods, and therefore vary enormously in architectural style, the main task of the system, apart from its basic function of providing information, is to convey the corporate identity of Austrian Railways (ÖBB).
