STUDIO BYCOLOR

INHERENT:PATTERN is a brand of products for the home that feature unique textures created by processing hardwood logs. The design office STUDIO BYCOLOR collects small branches of trees such as cherry, beech, and birch that grow in various parts of Japan. They then experiment and explore their textures to develop them into products, ranging from clocks to architectural hardware and accessories. Last year, collaboration with a lacquer craftsman in Kyoto started. Through such activities, STUDIO BYCOLOR aims to convey fascinating aspects of wood as a new source of inspiration and renew the appeal of traditional crafts.
